Christmas 2009 Pics
Posted on January 29, 2010
Christmas time is a whirlwind of activity for any photographer. I could barely keep up with all the requests from longtime customers and new friends, from the simple needing a picture for our christmas cards to a special capture to use as Christmas presents to share with family and friends so here are some of my faves from the last month.
A special moment between sisters reading a special book. I tweaked this one a bit and absoloutely loved it. They used this on the family Christmas Card bought a ton to share with family and friends along with many other great pictures from that session. I even printed this one on metallic paper to use as a studio sample and WOW what an amazing picture that needs to be seen to be believed. I am ordering one for a studio sample again because once Mom saw it she had to have that one to, LOL!

Rose and Kim reading an old family favorite from the holidays

Kim's expression and that pony tail,Love it

We have a future New York model here.

Beautiful brown eyes, Dad will never be able to say no to these!
Her brother was so handsome he was right in there too.

Such a handsome young man.
This was a storyboard I worked up and they ended up getting it done in Canvas. What a beautiful keepsake.

Christmas memory Nicholas and Olivia on canvas
and one more

Here are some of my favorite models we have had many sessions over the couple years I have been doing this and this was another christmas shoot and some more modeling shots for Lexy’s comp cards.

Lexy and Karina playing around, what fun!
and a more posed picture

Horsing around
and of course the modeling shots

Like a Levis ad, shes a natural
This was a new customer/old friend who needed some christmas pictures.

Such a ham, we were trying to think of poses and we were saying how cold it was outside and Jazmyn pulled one of these, perfect!!
Of course we have the picture that gives a glimpse into the future.

Not Momma's little baby for too much longer, sniff.
I even had a baby over. This was great!

So precious, I must have taken hundreds of pictures, little toes and fingers with big dark eyes and those long lashes, too cute.
There were more and I wish I could post them all sorry!
I also have to say these are some of my funnest and most rewarding shoots and I think this is what sets me apart from the rest of the photgraphers. I love capturing these moments with kids, I thoroughly enjoy these sessions and would do them all day every day if I could. I will always make sure you never feel rushed during these sessions as they can last 2+ hours and I usually take 2-300 pictures but the shots at the end are sooo worth it. The parents are always so happy I spent this time with their kids to capture these special years. They only come once and I hope to capture that picture that will be looked at for years and years to come with great fondness. I may not be remembered but I can hear Mom and Dad saying to their grown kids I remember when you were that cute. I know because I have a few picture that do that for me of my 15 and 18 year old.
Heres hoping for another great year, it is what you make it so make the most of it!
Please let me know what you think in the comments and drop me a line via the contact tab if you want me to work with you and your children, family, teens, seniors or whatever else is special to you this year.
Portrait Day at Hair Obsession
Posted on August 7, 2009
We had another great Portrait Party Day on July 25th at our salon, Hair Obsession in Leominster Mass and plan on making this a regualr occurence of like once a month, maybe come up with fun themes and add different activities for the kids that can be incorporated into the portraits.
This time I used a solid backdrop with the intent of masking out the background and adding fun backdrops to the image similar to Green Screen or ChromaKey photography.
The day was fun, the pictures came out great and most importantly everyone had fun.

- Mackenzie, she came in with the right attitude and outfit for this day and we had lots of fun.

- Another cutey from the day, such a nice smile.

- Another great shot of Ariana, they don’t all have to be fun shots to work, the eyes and smile are perfect and the B&W processing really work for this shot.

- We even had a a Teen jump in on the fun, great expression and I loved the hat!

- Once I had the images I can take and make group shots too, how awesome is that!

- For a really big challenge I took this outside the salon and replaced the parking lot with this flag picture, Motorcycles and flags doesn’t get any better than that!
I hope you all enjoyed this snippet of photos from the day and stay tuned for more upcoming events to be posted on our Hair Obsession website as well as Lasting Impressions website who provides all of the photographic and editing talent.
